Our Story

We are just a couple of everyday kiwis who love travelling and staying in our motorhome. We have our favorite spots to camp but often our motorhome becomes unbearably hot and decided that we needed to shield our windscreen and front windows from the heat but let some light in at the same time. We don’t like using our permanent factory installed blinds because they make our motorhome quite dark. We really wanted a better solution, and an air conditioning unit was out of the question because of the cost and the power drain when we are off grid.

After experimenting with hundreds of different types of materials, testing the light output with a light meter and making many prototypes we designed and developed the DucatoSHADE which is perfect for letting light in and keeping heat out. We have preformed extensive testing on the durability and functionality of the DucatoSHADE in every weather condition imaginable, including frost, snow, high winds and very high heat.

Following the DucatoSHADE we designed a premium unique very durable range of privacy/ sunshade screens for motorhome and caravan awnings, which roll up to let the morning sun in and are a flared shape for extra privacy.

Being on a creative roll we designed some handy awning accessories like our awning hangbags for pegs (Miss Peggy) and a hangbag for undies and bras (THE UNDIEDRY). I’m not keen to hang my lacy undies out for all to see, so THE UNDIEDRY is perfect for secretly drying these personal items.

We are now manufacturing a variety of motorhome and awning accessories, here in NZ using top quality materials that are long lasting and durable. This came through a necessity of needing some high-quality heavy-duty products that will last, in the past we had purchased a few inexpensive overseas manufactured sunshade screens that simply did not last that turned out to be very expensive after the third replacement.
What started as an idea has now become a passion of ours to find solutions, design and manufacture quality camping accessories that are purposeful and make motorhome and caravan life even more enjoyable.
